Mothers Day.

So for those of you that don't already know this, I am not the biggest fan of Mothers day. I like the concept of showing my mothers how much I appreciate all they do and spending time with family, but unfortunately my husband manages to make it miserable and I am more often than not disappointed. Well this year I planned on it being just another ordinary Sunday. Well of course Jay decided on Saturday that he was going to take the kids and go camping and that they wouldn't be back until Sunday late afternoon. So being me I threw myself a pity party, not only was I mad I couldn't go but I was upset that on Mother's Day morning I would be all alone and then I would have to go to my darling baby nieces blessing by myself. Well Sunday rolls around and I get up and get ready to leave and about 30 minutes before I take off they roll in. So we made a mad dash for the showers got both kids ready and I took off for the church leaving my hubby behind. When we returned he was showered and ready to go to my sisters for lunch and sitting on my table was a Juki Serger. I have been wanting a Serger for years and every time I need one I borrow one from my mother in law or my good friend Tiffany. I was so shocked not only that he was showered and ready to go but that he has actually been listening to me over the years express my interest in a serger. We ended up having a really good day, he pulled out all the stops and made it so nice for me. I will still be leery of certain holidays but he certainly proved me wrong this time. I hope my family and friends all knows how much I love and appreciate all they do for me. I don't know how we would be managing through this tuff time in our life's had it not been for all of you who have been so willing to help out with the kids, and everything else. You are all a blessing in my life and I deeply appreciate you.

Wicked

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to go see the Broadway hit Wicked this weekend with my two sister in laws, my mother in law, and four of my nieces. We left on Saturday and spent the day shopping, eating, watching movies, and just hanging out. Then on Sunday we got up and attended the afternoon matinee. I had so much fun, the show was amazing and the company was even better. It seems that the older my nieces and nephews get the busier everyone is so that means less time to see on another. I was shocked at how much they are all growing up and I am so proud of them for being such good girls. Its amazing how we all just are so busy that time just fly's by and you don't even notice until one day you are finally forced to take a minute and stop and everything is changing. I came home with a renewed strength (probably from getting a break from all the hustle and bustle) and hope of spending more time with my family. Thanks you to Marlene for inviting us all to stay over night it was well needed and I had a total blast. I hope we do it again this fall like we used to.
