Christmas morning our kids couldn't of been more excited. Trevin loved is Roboraptor and PSP and Teagan love her new play kitchen and first ever Cabbage Patch baby doll. What fun it is to see there eyes light up to all the gifts under the tree and to all the family and friends that stop by to visit. We love this time of year so much because we get to see some family members that we haven't seen since last Christmas. I also loved recieving simple christmas cards some with a picture, and boy it just amazes me to see how everyone has grown. My kids kept asking who this was or who that was, and I would point out cousins or aunts and uncles that live across the country. I just can't believe that everyone is growing up so quickly and how time just keeps moving by. I hope for a great new year to all.

I know some of you out there may find this cruel but my husband and son thought it was fantastic, as for me yeah just what I needed another bird on my wall. Oh well there are somethings that I have come to understand around here and they are 1. Just be glad it isn't any bigger ( Deer head) and 2. That they don't dress it up for the holidays in a santa suit.

Thanksgiving was great this year, we went to the sheppards for dinner. For some reason this year I was craving grandma Rhodas sweet poptatoes and did they ever hit the spot yum yum. After dinner we all sat around the table and sorted through nana Marlenes quarters for her collection. It was really fun, Trevin even got involved because he could sort them by the design on each states quarter. Then on Friday I got up at 3:15 to go to JcPenney with my sister for a vacumm, but unfortunately they didn't even have them in stock. She said we were insane, I said she was insane and I was just stupid for going with her. Then we went to Target and stood in line for 45 minutes ( I didn't remember to take a coat.) I think getting up that early is madness but we had a great time running through the stores.

We spent sometime this year carving pumpkins and Trevin actually wanted to be involved. Trevin dressed up as a duck hunter and Teagan was a Scary witch. I'm just glad it is finally over and that we can move on to the next holiday.

Jay R. turns 30

Jay R. turned 30. I totally suprise him this year with a party at Olive Garden with all our friends and family. I didn't know if I was actually going to pull this one off but after some sneeky planning it finally happened and boy was he suprised. I think this picture sums up just how suprised he was.

Cornbellies

Over fall break I took the kids up to Thanksgiving point to go to cornbellies. I actually got trevin to go through the creature by telling him that we were just a piece of food that needed to be digested and he thought that was pretty cool and it took all the scariness out of it. Then we went on a hay ride and through the belly button corn maze. My sister and my niece also went with us. It was a great adventure.

Snow in September

We couldn't believe that not only was it so cold outside but that it actually was snowing when two days prior it was close to 80 degrees outside. Trevin and Roan thought it was great they spent about 1 hour outside playing in this slushy snow, during which the power was out so it was starting to get really cold inside. Then later that night the kids convinced there dad to make a fire in the fire pit outside to help keep them warm.
