Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We just got back from a great vacation down to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was a great brake from the cold weather here in the states. We went with two other couples and we had a great time. We spent a lot of our time on the beach just soaking up the sun, but we also went on a Canopy zip line tour that was really fun, Jay went deep sea fishing while I went and got a massage and facial from some of the locals and then on our last night there we went out to a secluded beach for a candle light dinner and a small performance about there cultural history. It was really nice to get away from the everyday mumbo jumbo but we were glad to finally get back home and see our kids.

Book club

Hey those of you in my book club I just wanted to let you know that I started the Uglies and so far it has been pretty interesting. Reminds me a little of the Giver. Hope all is well and I will miss you all next month at club, but unfortunately I will be laying on the beach somewhere in Mexico. Keep me posted on the 5 love languages.

Winter Fun

With all the new snow, comes all the excitement of winter time. Around our house the kids can't wait for there daddy to get home so that they can go sledding behind the four wheeler. All the neighbor kids seem to enjoy the fun to. We actually took all the kids ours and the neighbors down the street into a field and they spent hours down there. I showed up with hot chocolate to warm them all up, but I don't even think they noticed the cold all that much. They were just having way to much fun. I'm just glad the day finally came that Trevin likes to be on the sled instead of the four wheeler (more room for me haha).

Retro Aprons

I spent some time before the holidays making these really cute aprons with my sister and some of my friends. They turned out so cute that I don't really want to get a mess on the front of it. I catch myself wearing my old one to preserve this new cuter one. haha

Jay R. when he was born he was James Roy but everyone called him J.R. so his mother had it legally changed when he turned 5.
How long have you been together?

We've been married for 9 1/2 years but we have actually been together about 11 years crazy how quickly time flies when your having fun.
How long did you date?

For about 1 1/2 years.
How old his he?

He just turned the big 30.
Who eats more?

I would say he does. Although when I cook I really try to portion control things.
Who said I love you first?

Honestly I can't remember, it was probably me.
Who is taller?

Neither, we are exactly the same height, and no it doesn't bother him when I wear heels.
Who can sing better?

Me, although that doesn't mean much.
Who is smarter?

Well in some area's I am and in others he is. So I guess were equally smart.
Who does the laundry?

I do, Although when I worked full time he did all the laundry and I did all the house work.
Who pays the bills?

I pay them all, how fun is that.

Who sleeps in the right side?

He does.
Who mows the lawn?

I do most of the time but when he gets off work early sometimes he will.
Who cooks dinner?

I do, except when I'm out for the evening with friends then they usually have breakfast for dinner.
Who drives?

I almost always drive, he gets to much road rage and he also falls asleep within five miles of leaving our house. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Who kissed who first?

I kissed him, we were at a party and two boys that I had been dating were kind of getting to me, so I decided to use Jay as a decoy. I guess it worked, he was totally suprised.

He asked me out to his senior prom.

Probably me.

Me , although he does have a soft side.
Who has more siblings?

I do, three older sisters.

Neither , I think somethings I do and somethings he does.

Christmas morning our kids couldn't of been more excited. Trevin loved is Roboraptor and PSP and Teagan love her new play kitchen and first ever Cabbage Patch baby doll. What fun it is to see there eyes light up to all the gifts under the tree and to all the family and friends that stop by to visit. We love this time of year so much because we get to see some family members that we haven't seen since last Christmas. I also loved recieving simple christmas cards some with a picture, and boy it just amazes me to see how everyone has grown. My kids kept asking who this was or who that was, and I would point out cousins or aunts and uncles that live across the country. I just can't believe that everyone is growing up so quickly and how time just keeps moving by. I hope for a great new year to all.

I know some of you out there may find this cruel but my husband and son thought it was fantastic, as for me yeah just what I needed another bird on my wall. Oh well there are somethings that I have come to understand around here and they are 1. Just be glad it isn't any bigger ( Deer head) and 2. That they don't dress it up for the holidays in a santa suit.
